Family Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality primary and specialized healthcare services to patients of all ages. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, promoting health and disease prevention, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of patients, including medical history review and physical examination
– Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, imaging studies, Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions
– Prescribe medications and other treatments based on patient needs
– Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families
– Provide counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards
– Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Experience:
– Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting
– Proficiency in behavioral health assessment and management
– Experience in discharge planning and coordination of care across healthcare settings
– Knowledge of gastric lavage procedures for emergency situations
– Familiarity with assisted living regulations and standards of care
– Competence in specimen collection processing and interpretation of results
– Experience in infant care, including immunizations, growth monitoring, and developmental screenings
– Ability to catheterize patients when necessary

Requirements:
– Valid Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey

– Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
– Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a recognized certifying body
– Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently within the scope of practice
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
